Snowman lighting test

Decided to work on my ligthing skills in Blender by using an unfinished model to bounce the light off of.

Above is the first draft of my ligthing experiment. I wanted to go for a cold look, but I eventually realised that using only one light of one colour from one direction wasn't going to achieve much in terms of looks.

Off to the world settings I went to start tweaking the ambient occlusion settings to add more light sources.

And last of all I managed to discover the camera settings for exposure, and decided to play around with it to make the background a bit blurrier than the foreground.
And the final result is...

I consider the focus to be off despite setting it to be on the snowman's carrot nose, so I'd probably have to adjust that. I will also say that I find the colurs to still be off, but I found that anything stronger messed up the balance on this.
This is something I can see myself going back to later on and tweaking bit by bit until it looks like something the pros would make.
Hopping into blender has been pretty fun and I never realised how much I missed 3D work.
